I have made the decision to combine the subject matter of VIDEO HOOK-UPS: film AND video games, both viewed from an experimental, critical lens. I have been doing experiments in combining video games and the medium of photography and have worked with digital environments and video in the past, particularly Second Life. Most recently, I have written about virtual photography in retro environments, a much-neglected subject, on Arcade Geographic:

Rather than trying to juggle divergent interests simultaneously, combining them so they can all live in one home and opening up submissions to people who wish to write about machinima (films produced through video games) and other video game / film connections simply makes more sense.
My goal is to have at least three articles per month on VIDEO HOOK-UPS, by myself or submissions. Submissions are paid and can be made here: https://goo.gl/forms/VIZ6pGNOlcJpwaef2
Looking forward to sharing more with you all soon,
~Marilyn
